"preach the gospel to all creatures..." Mark 16:15

done by John L. Kachelman Jr.

Sri Lanka

When the tsunami struck the small country of Sri Lanka on December 26, 2005, John was asked to help coordinate a response to help those in need.  The tsunami had killed over 150,000 people and left the thousands of survivors without food, shelter or basic items to live.

John worked to coordinate a shipment of medical supplies and other basic household items to help the people of Sri Lanka.  He worked closely with Willie, a missionary in Piliyandala to insure the items were transported and distributed to those in need.  The church in Sri Lanka became a life line to those in the region who were looking for help.

The shipment focused on sending hundreds of personal hygiene kits to the displaced victims of the tsunami.
